If we draw out the analogy of my transition being a journey, today I visited the Travel Agent.
The Travel Agent was a remarkably likeable Gent. He checked out my plans. We talked about how long I had been thinking about my journey. He calmly presented me with access to a vast collection of travel wisdom and with the very minimum of fuss, and in a manner completely in keeping with his utterly charming approach, issued me with the all important tickets that will take me on the journey.
I’m staring at the “tickets” now and there is a degree of detachment from the reality of how far I have already travelled.
Rosie Huntington Whiteley I am most certainly not, but myself I most definitely will be. I hope thats going to be good enough for everyone else, because for me its the realisation of a 44 year old wish. A wish made with eyes screwed shut, fingers crossed and a sincere belief that it can all work out ok…..
