A few years ago (possibly even decades) there was a very popular screen saver that sort of simulated hurtling through deep space at high speed. It was a bit “Star Trek” and it was everywhere…You could change various parameters, such as the density of the star field and the speed with which they whizzed across the screen…
The view never changed, there was just an endless succession of stars streaming from the centre of the screen.
This is what my life looks like….I’m hurtling into, or at least towards, an endless Abyss. I’m getting nowhere. I can tweak various parameters, but the end result is the same. An inky blackness with bright points of light passing me by at the speed of my choosing.
