OMG – Its worse than I imagined

I’ll start with some context, then move onto some “Thank You”  messages, add a couple of apologies, then finish with a joke….

The context

This post is written having just watched the segment of the news that featured the Busselton DGR Ride.

The Thank You  Messages

Thanks to everyone who has stood by me over the last few months.

Thanks to my lovely Mid Wife who made me feel fantastic yesterday.

Thanks to Jane, you really are awesome.

The Apologies

To the person at work who told me I would be an embarrassment to my family and friends, I’m sorry. I think you may have had a point.

To Jane, sorry, I feel bad again today.

To everyone who sees the video, sorry, I really didn’t realise I am an incoherent blimp.

The Joke

Q. What is the difference between a well rotted, insect infested, fetid pile of manure, and me.

A. The manure will at some point be useful.

The only thing common between the manure and you is that right now you are speaking it. Yes speaking crap. You simply must realise your value has nothing to do with any of your perceptions of yourself. Spoon of cement my dear and I mean that with love.

Crikey. Sounds like you need a good four hour round at a bar that stocks good Japanese Scotch and doesnt sock any pity pie.
Everybody that follows your blog and that must be a considerable number of people…dont look forward to hearing about how shit your life is.
Every single one of us has a hurdle or two of our own to get over, we’re all getting old for one, artheritis, sight, hearing, fucking hair loss are all things that we have to contend with on a smaller scale but the spectre of terminal illness, the death of loved ones, old age and superannuation are things on everybodies plate, every bloody day mate. So for all the love and support that you receive every single day, especially from your awesome wife and children, spare a thought for the prople you know that will never have the opportunity you have to make such a huge change in your life. You made the decision to do this, the rest of us came on board to support you because you’re a pretty awesome person. I’ve never thrown my weight behind a venture or a project I didnt believe in, I dont suffer fools and I have to work hard enough for the great lifestyle I have. So get on with it will you…or I’ll start posting you photos of my runny nose that I cant seem to shake or that shit I just had that looks like pea and ham soup or other actually depressing shit. See how you like it.
