Helicopter View

I once read that the key difference between a professional photographer and a keen amateur is that the professional photographer has bendy knees. Its a glib comment, but worthy of some scrutiny,

The idea is that the same scene, viewed from a slightly different angle, or with a simple step in one direction or another can tell a very different story. The professional doesn’t lock into a single spot, they move around, bobbing, weaving, and stretching to find out what is really happening and to get the true picture.

Building on that analogy, I wonder if the same applies to professionals in other areas….

After a tough week, I really need a specialist in the area of Life, to take a good hard look at my personal scene and tell me a very different story, or give me a different angle,  because right now the image I’m looking at is somewhat grim.

Hopefully I will be amazed at what bendy knees can reveal

This quote to me, describes who you are. Bobbing, weaving and stretching. The professional being you.
