I'm in a Good Moog(d) 🙂

Yesterday was a day off…

My first goal was to try very hard to put all thoughts of Gantt Charts, Missing Resources, and shrinking timelines behind me, or more accurately, in front of me. I’m not leaving them behind, I’m just pushing them up front until Tuesday when I need to start dealing with that sort of stuff again.

My aspiration was to spend the day unlocking my creativity with the help of some Analogue Synthesis. Suzanne’s Symphony #1 is not going to write itself. I have to start somewhere, and yesterday that somewhere was on a rickety stool in front of a collection of patch cables and a couple of Moog Modular Modules 🙂

I’m not sure if Beethoven, Bach, or Mozart had to pop out to Woolies for the Weeks Groceries but yesterday I did, and I can report that the trip provided minimal creative inspiration.  Fingal’s Cave provided ample material for  Mendelssohn to pen a rousing Overture, so perhaps I need to go and look at Sugarloaf Rock for a couple of hours….

Composing aside, the good news is that I can report that recent changes in my personal circumstances have yielded surprising and very positive developments. My tendency to retreat, hide and remain as much as possible unseen has been challenged. I have been compelled to push through a great many personal barriers, and the result is a Suzanne who has been more visible in the last weeks than ever before…

In my last counselling session, at the very start of the session, my wonderful Therapist Deb, suggested that she sensed that something had changed, and that there was a different “energy” around me, but that she couldn’t quite describe it. Towards the end of the session, Deb proclaimed  “I’ve got it now, I know what it is..!” “I’m sensing contentment !!!!”

So there we are, Contented ? I’m not sure, but I’m definitely in a very Good Mood(g)
