New New Blog

NGC4945 – 15 Minutes of integration time 21/4/2026

Back in 2015 I started a blog.

I also commenced a medically assisted Gender Transition.

At one point the blog site was getting between 10,000 and 12,000 hits a month.

There were hundreds of subscribers, and lots of comments and engagements.

It ran until 2019, when I was fed up with the mounting hosting fees, and a slowly dwindling readership.

Depression

Wind forwards a few years, and over the last weekend I was dealing with a mounting, mental health challenge.

I was depressed, and sinking deeper into the folds of darkness that I find crippling.

In a moment of desperation I began to read the XML backup file of my original blog that I called “Twin Restoration.”

Reading through the raw XML was a challenge, so I tried using the ‘way back machine” a tool that has archived immense numbers of webpages.

My old blog had been archived, and It was easier to read, but vast chunks of the site were missing.

Progress

Frustrated by this, I set about working out how to restore my last backup.

Things moved rapidly, and it seemed like the best approach was aa new blog.

Here is it is. I have imported all of the content from my original journal, although I seem to have lost the pictures.

In my previous Blog I frequently wrote about my struggles with epic depression,

I believed it could be useful, or even therapeutic to take a trip back through my journey, reflecting on progress, or, otherwise.

New Normal

Now, the beginnings of my transition are now a distant memory.

I try very hard not to let my journey define me.

The depression has never really gone away, it is I think significantly less frequent, and markedly less intense that previously, but I am still prone to suffer when it does arrive.

I have come to understand that my journey is unremarkable, I am unremarkable, and almost nobody is particularly interested in anything I have to say on the matter, which suits me just fine.

My blog stems from an innate need to create, and to share.

New Normal is all about working, creating, eating, sleeping, and whenever possible I try and squeeze in a little adventure, and if you are interested, feel free to join me……
