Today, driving home from the office, the sky looked promising, and I began to flirt with the idea that perhaps tonight is finally a night for astronomy after days of heavy rain and clouds.
I was excited to spend more time photographing the Galaxy (NGC 4945) I started a little while ago.
In keeping with recent form the clouds rolled in, so the telescopes, Jane, and I stayed warm inside.
It was disappointing, but not terrible, we still enjoyed a pleasant evening.
What mattered more to me, was the dense, overcast darkness I’ve been feeling inside has started to lift.
My depression seems to be easing, and I’m noticing real improvements in my mental health.
Maybe it’s the prospect of a big new LEGO set and a long weekend.
We will wait for clearer skies, but for now I’m grateful to be feeling better.
