Don’t look so worried…….
I know your name……, your real name, because you and I are one and the same. I am the product of you, and you are the dawn of me.
Sit down, relax, there is nobody who is going to hurt you whilst I am here.
I’m not going to ask how School was, I already know the answer. Those people, who taunt, who punch, who kick and abuse, they are not doing it because they hate you, they are doing it because they hate themselves.
It hurts, I know it does, and I’m really sorry about the way it makes you feel, and I’m so sorry that I can’t stop it, but I can give you hope….
I know how much you panic, how scared you are that your secret will be revealed. I know because we are are one and the memories are as fresh for me, as they are for you thirty five years earlier . Stay strong.
Although it is so hard now, I know you can ride it out, and it gets so much better.
You know, the way you feel, the things you think about, they are real, its valid. Embrace Suzanne !!!! You will do what you need to do, but don’t stop knowing that who you are is not dependent on that awkward shape our marvellous soul is squeezed into.
I don’t know why, or how, but somehow we ended up in a body that is a target for so much hate. Not just from ourselves, but from other people. I believe it happened because it gives us the perfect platform to show that “existence precedes essence.”
We can define who we are, and who we are going to be, we will not be constrained by society, by the narrow set of rules that dictates how and why. We will shine. We will light the way.
Read your books, enjoy the things you enjoy, and don’t be scared of the bullies, especially the ones inside the family. They are ignorant of the beauty that lies within.
I Love you Suzanne, its simply not possible to hate someone so vulnerable, so beautiful, and so fragile. In writing this, I am trying to recognise that as the same soul, I need the same Love, Thirty Five Years later.
