The first phase of my new journey that began with an oddly convivial Lunch over Pizza, was yesterday concluded with an equally convivial Dinner, and also over Pizza.
The Dinner wasn’t odd at all, it had an upbeat celebratory mood, however the preceding French / Canadian movie, that a large portion of the Cinema audience clearly found a good deal funnier than I did, was decidedly unusual.
A telephone call that I had hoped for, but in reality, not expected, arrived as I settled down for my Fortnightly Therapy Session with M. the lovely Nail Guru. I excused myself, and attempted to maintain an air of dignified calm as the call steadily unfolded into a detailed offer of employment.
I am both surprised and overjoyed to be heading to work in a sector that resonates very deeply with my personal values. No…..I won’t be needing my Mig 29 Flight Computer, this role is all about the people, and delivering experiences that make a real difference…
All together now, lets sing in one voice…. “Congratulations”
